This is specially for my parents who wanted to see my pictures during winter break when Qushairy came over 2 visit me. So its gonna be mainly pictures. We manage to go to a lot of places. From London to Soton to Pompey

Last weekend I went to Southampton (Soton) and Portsmouth (Pompey). I actually promised myself that I wont spend any money til March, but I also promised my fren, Mel that i'd go 2 Pompey n stay at her place since she often comes to London n stay at my place. Furthermore, it was the last weekend b4 her term starts. So, Iylia n I decided to go to Soton 1st n meet Mel there, then shoot off to Pompey in the evening. Plus, the fare was cheap so we took advantage of it. =)
From London to Soton = 1pound.
From Soton to Pompey = 3.50pounds.
From Pompey to London = 5pounds.

We actually missed our bus which was scheduled to leave Victoria Station at 8.45am! But we managed to get on the next bus to Soton without any charge! hehehe.. Coz I asked the driver where can I buy a new ticket then he said not to worry bout it n just get on this bus which leaves for Soton in 20min. I was so relieved! Mel did mention that it was a big possibility they'll just let us get on the next bus. It was coz besides us there were only 2 other passengers on it. I thought that was a major waste. Oh well. It was my 1st time traveling that far on a bus coz normally I travel by train. It was comfy! Leather seats. Large room space. Can baringkan the chair some more! hehehe.. It took us about 2hrs+ to get to Soton. We dropped of at West Quay where Mel was waiting 4 us. West Quay is a huge mall. We took a walk around the area, took pictures here and there and finally shoot off to Pompey at 5.30pm. We went straight back to Mel's place, gossiped, bought popcorn and watched a movie 2getha til we fell asleep. The next morning we had fried spaghetti for branch (we woke up pretty late) thanx to Iylia, the chef 4 the day. Mel took us to Gunwharf Quay. Its a branded outlet shopping mall. Had to restrain myself from shopping! Although it was pretty cheap, but I just had to. Things like, FCUK dresses, with discounts from 120pounds to only 24pounds! There was even a denim tube dress for 15pounds, and jackets for 28pounds, both FCUK! Well, that just means, im definitely coming bck! RRRrrrrRRRrrrRRR!! That evening we had dinner at Las Iguanas and took off to London at 8.15pm. Thanks to Mel, we had a great time. Will be bck, fo sho! =)

Highlights of December 2009!

Theres LOADZA things I wanna share here..since i hvnt been writing for a while, everytins kinda piled up..So lets start by saying ITS SNOWINGGGGG!!! =) its started on Wed (16th Dec). Its so pwetty when its snowy! heee~ today tho, the snow became really2 thick! everyones predicting uni's gonna close tmrw coz of the snow storm..well, it is the last day of uni anyways..its so windy outside,I can hear the sound of the wind..i could feel the cold juz by looking outside my window!

Besides that, my fren Peanut came to London 4 vacation with her family and we managed to meet up along with Dd. We walked along oxford street under the falling snow. It was nice! n I missed peanut! so it was great seeing her~ ppl call it the 'chill cha' reunion in London.. it was more like a quarter of chillcha tho..

 Last week, I went out with a bunch of my classmates. We went to see the Christmas lights along the streets of central London and also went to Winter Wonderland! Its at Hyde Park. Its a kind of funfair + christmas market + ice rink. Entry is FREE but we have to pay to go on the rides. We did go on the Power Tower, which in Malaysia is called solero shot in Genting. But the Power Tower is taller! but thankfully not as scary. Me being afraid of heights felt like my heart was gonna fall out!..4 those who doesnt know wut it is, its a kinda ride where they take u half way up the sky and it suddenly drops u! ull be screaminggg out of ur mind! but it is a very nice view of london at night when ure wayyyy up there...but its not enough to make u forget that ure hanging a few thousand meters up the air. But I had fun!..get to experience wut its like to experience Christmas in London. Wish my family was there with me though. We'd buy so much stuff and eat so much!!

Other than that, about a week ago or so, I went to see the Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre! it was great but not as great at Les Misérables. Maybe coz it wasnt 100% musical, i dunno. But I enjoyed Les Misérables more. Although Phantom of the Opera is more advance in stage presents n all but I feel as though they did not make the best out of it and it was a bit draggy in some scenes. Also, I didnt enjoy the music as much. The tickets however, I realised was very expensive and we got it 4 a very reasonable price. I guess coz we were students and we bought it through Uni. We got Les Misérables for £25 when its actually £42.50 and Phantom of the Opera for £27.50 when its actly £59.75!

Today I attempted to make curry chicken!..it was a bit hard since I had 2 get everything ready in my room before bringing it out 2 the kitchen...things like blending the onions,garlic n ginger..n also bancuh the curry paste n stuff...but I managed, even though I had a few difficulties coz I had 2 come in my room once in a while 2 check the instructions my mom gave me thru email...hehe ;p juz so I got things rite...once its done, rase sket...sedappppp! =) nasib baik! hahaha...coz I tried making sambal tumis b4 n it was all messed up...the chilli was too PEDASSSSSS....I thought i did sumtin wrong, was trying everytin 2 fix it..but then asked mom bout it n she said i shud juz put more onions while making the paste coz the chilli I bought were obviously chilli padi...how the hell shud I knw! I did realise that it looked a bit smaller than usual, but that was the biggest that they had. So my sambal mission still blum kesampaian..will get 2 that soon tho...

Les Misérables!

Last week, a couple of my frens n I went to see a musical theatre. It was the classic Les Misérables! It is based on a novel by French author Victor Hugo and is widely considered as one of the greatest novels of the 19th century. It was my 1st theatre here in London. We sat on the upper tier and it was quite close 2 the stage. We had 2 kinda leaned 4ward 2 see the stage as it was wayyyy down below.

I can definitely say it was AWESOME! A great experience. Watching those people, I was so amazed at how talented they are! They were singing very casually as if it came naturally but what came out of it was more than impressive! They were such professionals, acting and singing convincingly. So much drama..so much emotion. I loved it! And what was even more impressive was there were two child performers in the play and they were surprisingly as talented as the grown up performers. Their voices..all of them..........I was jealous! oh how I would kill to be able to sing like that~ There was this one time when 1 of the gurls were singing a solo, it caught my attention. I knew that song! but fr where I couldnt remember....after a while, it hit me.. it was the same song Susan Boyle sang when she 1st auditioned for X-factor! hehehehehehe..n nw the song is stuck in my head! ;p "I dreamed a dream in time gone by..When hope was high..And life worth living..."

Next stop! Phantom of the Opera! Will let u knw hw it goes~

Its been soooooo long since I last posted anything. Sorry bout that~ So here goes....
Last wed I went 2 chinatown in central london 2 look 4 some cooking stuff so I can start cooking some malaysian food. Mak has already sent me some recipes through email n I cant wait 2 start cooking! Not sure if it will taste as nice as mak does it, but at least I try huh? ;p Some things are hard to find, but some are easy. But even so, its expensive here compared to msia [dhuh!] i think laaaa.....check it out!

While in chinatown we went 2 this Malaysia/Singapore/Indonesian restaurant called Rasa Sayang n i had char kuey teow with cincau soya 2 drink! my frens had nasi lemak...the food is quite nice..juz 2 lepas rindu once in a while bole laa... n the teh tarik is damn nice! mcm kalau kt mamak! hehehehe....

Class starts!

hye! its been awhile since i last wrote huh..Well, nothing much has happened.. Class just started this week.. Lecturers are all fine..ade 3 classes..so 3 lect..sume pompuan..except satu ni...cane nk ckp ek..haha...die cam pengkit! ;p name die constantina tp panggil die stan..die pakai mmg mcm a guy pegi keje...ngn rambut pendek die lg...shirt lengan panjang,sluar slack n leather shoes..i kene cite everything in malay coz mane tau kot2 die baca ke..at least die x paham kn! haha~ well, as u all know i hv no exams but a lot of coursework.. i hv 2 do a lot of reading! every week diorg akan bg extracts fr books yg we hv 2 read then we discuss bout it in class..but thankfully we dont hv 2 buy books..diorg dah siap photostat all the extracts n compile it jd buku n we only hv 2 pay GBP5..which is great! =) as part of our module we will b given a work placement in the media industry so that we get 2 experience it 1st hand. So we'll get 2 work n meet ppl who's in the same field. Quite interesting i must say. So ill be reading most of the time nw,the only prob is..im not so good at reading..I get sleepy very easily! half way jer mata dah start layu~!hahaha...So thats 1 thing  I hv 2 work on!

Other than that, today I went 2 Enfield town 2 open my bank acc. Thank God everything went well. Enfield town is like the nearest tmpt shopping fr my place. Its kinda like goin 2  pyramid which is nearer rather than goin 2  pavillion or klcc. Everything is there, fr high end stuff 2 markets..n its only GBP1 by bus! yeayy!  =)

After that I went 2 central london 2 teman my fren jumpe her uncle who's here for business..coz he brought some stuff to gv to her fr her parents..the place he's staying is near Msian Hall so we took the chance 2 singgah n check it out. Sempat tumpang toilet lg k! hehehe...So then met up wit her uncle..met a few of her uncle's fren..chatted sambil minum teh tarik! byk gile msian restaurant roun that area..after that we went to her cousin's restaurant which serves msian food. They just opened like 2 mths ago. It was a very nice restaurant n the food...seriously sedapppp! smp kenyang sgt nk blk pon x larat.. sambal udang,daging masak lemak,telur dadar,ayam goreng,satay goreng,ikan,etc...At the end of the day, the trip was worth it as we get 2 stuff ourselves wit msian food..for FREE i might add! eventhough we had 2 kinda pay a bit more 4 transportation coz we didnt realise that we were travelling during peak hrs...some u win, some u lose huh?
